Liebe LeserInnen!

wow, finally i joined the group of great graz-metroblog authors! as i hate anything that has to do with computers and logical thinking, i made quite an effort to post here. ;-) the first thing that came into my mind when reading the grazblog for the first time, was the question: why is it in english? i know i know, everybody speaks it and so we can communicate with anybody on this big big planet, but honestly, isn’t the blog primarily for people who are living in graz and want to check out what’s going on? of course, it’s interesting for people from other countries to read about graz, and i understand that very well, this is also the point why i’m writing in english right now. i just wanna test out who really reads our statements. so, please, anybody not speaking german and reading this post right now, write a comment!!!! it would be great if there would really exist people from anywhere in the world except from graz who are reading this…. then we could even change the whole world, hehe.
so i’m looking forward to write some interesting posts for the grazblog, see ya!

Yeap! I’m here-not from Graz, not knows German, yet would love to follow what’s going on other cities!
Profundly hating computers and disability to do anything with computers that accompanies this hate had scared me before first post and made me show considerable effort when posting first. Then a miracle happened and I managed to post!

Being brand spanking new to Graz and not being able to speak a lick of English makes me particularly glad that this blog is in, mostly, English.

It has me discover new parts of the city, makes me feel not so alone and most of all… I can understand it! Unlike the two channels in German – though they are one season behind with CSI and Law & Order so I don’t feel like I’m missing much.

I guess there will come a time where I will be able to understand and speak German. By then.. bloggin in English will be good practice!

Oops! I meant that I’m not able to speak a lick of “German”.

OK.. I’m ready for my nap now.

A little late with the post, but thought you might be interested that someone from Texas is reading and enjoying the blogsite. Keep up the good work. BTW, I do speak “Passing” German. Robert
